The House Band is none other than the Blue Food Rock and Soul Orchestra. They are joined by an MC and a panel of three judges. The judges, along with the audience, decide who gets gonged. There are three cash prises awarded each week. The first place winner takes home a $100, second receives $75, and third place is awarded $50. The competition is all in the spirit of having fun. This is no American Idol show! But it is loads of laughs and fun.
In addition, the boys behind the sound mixing board play some of your favorite party music during the band's brief breaks. Dancing is allowed and encouraged. Come out and practice those rusty dance steps and moves on a dance floor with lots of room or try your luck singing with a live band on Wednesday evenings.
The Willow Creek Lounge is now smoke free which makes the event more enjoyable. It really is worth a trip out to Tuolumne to visit this excellent sounding room and experience this unique spectacle that is the Karaoke Gong show.
