These are the ensembles Jim is performing with at this time. Most have their own websites or are on Facebook, Twitter or other social sites if you would like more information. Notices of upcoming shows for any and all of these ensembles will be included in the Andersong Montlhy Newsletter so be sure to sign up.
Crazy Ivan - Rock and Soul Dancercise Party Band.
Twelve years and running and he is glad of it! Crazy Ivan is a three piece power rock and soul trio. Jim sings most of the songs from the drums but everything you need to know is on the website so go check it out: www.crazy-ivan.com.
Chains Required - Power Rock and Soul
Jim just started performing with this outfit. Coming from a three piece rock trio to a ten piece horn band is a bit of a challenge but it's good for a drummer to play lots of styles and as of right now he doesn't have to sing all the songs! Check out Chains Required at: www.chainsrequired.com.
Columbia College Big Band - Like the man said
Jim was really blessed when he returned to Tuolumne County to find a regularly rehearsing and performing Big Band. Jim has been playing Big Band music since he was a child thanks to Bruce Paxton and Dwight Cannon two of his most inspiring music teachers. He has been playing and loving big band jazz ever since and has no plans of stopping any time soon. Kicking and swinging an 18 or more piece big band is about as much fun as a drummer can have! Hopefully we will have website soon for the band but for now more information on the Columbia College Jazz Artist Series is available here.
WaterFall Jazz - The Saloon Singers Show
The WaterFall Jazz group is most often a piano bass and drums trio with Jim singing the American Songbook titles from behind the drums. He adds a fourth member, usually Dr. Rod Harris on saxes when he can. The members are Leroy and Clinton and more information on this band is available on their MySpace page.
Generations - Music for Listening
Generations is a vocal trio with Krista White and keyboards and vocals, Kerry Tweedy on vocals and Jim on guitars and vocals. More information is available on their Facebook profile.
